Victoria Then & Now 1907-2009

130 block Government Street (57K)
Looking Down G
overnment St. from Yates Street.

When the streetcar came down Yates Street, it made a wide turn onto Government Street. This allows the viewer to see the 500 block of Yates Street and the northwest corner of the 1300 block of Government Street. As these areas were very important to the commercial core of Victoria in 1907 – and are integral structures in the early history of Victoria - they are included in our coverage of the journey.

  • 1312 Government Street
  • 1308 Government Street
  • 1306 Government Street
  • 1300 Government Street
