Awards of Merit

Cielo Properties and Tinney and Associates won for the Redstone, 527 Michigan.


Andrew and Melanie Penn won for the restoration of the Bilston Cottage at 4158 Metchosin Road

Peter Saldat of Top Coat Painting won for his professionalism in providing services to owners of heritage homes.


The Government House Foundation; Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts; and Jonathan Yardley, Architect won for the rehabilitation of the Butterworth Cottage on the grounds of Government House

Communication Awards

Harbour Publishing and co-editors Brenda Clark, Nicole Kilburn and Nick Russell won for Victoria Underfoot: Excavating a City’s Secrets

The Municipality of Saanich won for the book Saanich Heritage Structures.

The University of Victoria won two Communication Awards for its work to launch two historic websites, the second jointly with the Times Colonist.


President's Award


The President's Award was won by the Pender Islands Museum Society for the restoration and adaptive reuse of the Pender Islands Museum

Michael Williams Award

LeFevre and Co Property Agents and InsideOut Planning and Architecture Inc won for the rehabilitation of the buildings at 524 and 534 Yates Street

Louis Award

The 2009 Louis Award was won by the Pender Islands Museum Society for the impact of their work on the community.
