Awards of Merit

Garde Colins, Malcolm Harman and David Coster were recognized for the rescue of 1418 Fernwood Road and the rehabilitation which returned this landmark to its former glory.

Garde Colins and Malcolm Harman won an Award of Merit for the rehabilitation of 1422 Fernwood Road.

The Saanich Historical Artifacts won an Award of Merit for their dedication to the preservation of the history of the Saanich peninsula through built and mechanical artifacts and their public education program.

Michele Buchmann, Gerry Karagianis, Kim Millar Lewis and Harry Lewis won an Award of Merit for the restoration of the interior of the Banfield Market at 530 Craigflower Road.

John Pucket and David Ford won an Award of Merit for the restoration of the five-plex at 402-410 Cook Street which preserved the "village feel" of the site.

Janis Ringuette won a Communication Award for her work to research the history of Beacon Hill Park and her extensive website which presents the information to a world-wide audience.

Valerie Green won a Communication Award for her years of promoting heritage awareness through books, newspaper articles, radio and television appearances, and personal presentations.

Mark Madoff Award

Rosemary James Cross won the Mark Madoff Award for her years of dedication and perseverance which led to the publication of "The Life and Times of Victoria Architect P. Leonard James"

President's Award

SouthPark2005 (45K)

Bradley Shuya, Architect and The Board of Trustees of School District 61 won the President's Award for the creative use of technology which retained the original fabric of the historic South Park Elementary School during a seismic upgrade.

Michael Williams Award

Matt McNeil won the Michael Williams Award for his careful attention to the heritage fabric of 1200 Government Street during its transformation to the Irish Times pub.
